Redpeg specialises in conceptualising and implementing strategic research and training interventions that are responsive to needs and are relevant.

We’ve worked with a number of local & international NGOs, local & international funders, Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs), organised labour across sectors and corporate companies to deliver a range of interventions, from small projects to national, multi-sectoral programmes. Our most recent projects include:

  • Global Fund Round 9 (Phase II): Gender Based Violence research and training within the SAPS, highlights include:1459 learners trained across 4 provinces; Training covered the amended Sexual Offences Act, Gender Based Violence, Post Exposure Prophylaxis, the LGBTI community and corrective rape and other hate crimes, and more
  • Online LGBTI training programme that sensitises learners to: The rights of the LGBTI community in South Africa; the barriers faced by the LGBTI community in accessing healthcare; gender-based violence and hate crimes; gender and sexuality; transgenderism
  • National HIV/AIDS workplace programme for the Chemical Industries SETA: Provided important sectoral research; trained over 1000 learners from 50 organisations.

Our services include:

  • Delivery of SETA-accredited training: both face-to-face and online
  • Conceptualisation and implementation of key research interventions, including knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) surveys, economic impact assessments and more
  • Development of SETA-accredited materials
  • Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) of workplace programmes
  • SANS 16001:2007 compliance checks & audit preparation 
  • Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) training and tools 


Redpeg is a fully accredited education and training service provider and offers a number skills programmes and qualifications.


While we have been awarded full accreditation by the Services SETA, which is our primary ETQA, our skills programmes are accredited and quality assured by a number of different SETAs, including the ETDP SETA, HWSETA, MerSETA, AgriSETA and more.

We are constantly developing new training materials and research instruments - here are a few things to look out for in the near future:

  • Further modules on religion and the LGBTI community
  • Further qualifications and skills programmes
